Profile

Your unique tour experience in Rocky Mountain National Park begins with Dave Lively as your step-on guide.  He will share with you sights and wildlife, and engage you with stories of the pioneer days like no one else can.  He also conducts tours of two of Colorado's most majestic scenic byways, Trial Ridge Road and the Colorado River Headwaters Scenic Byway.

Dave lives less that 1/2 mile from where his family homesteaded what is now the Grand Lake entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park.  He is a local historian, Certified Tour Guide and Certified Interpretive Guide with an unsurpassed knowledge and passion for the region.  He appears in the PBS documentary, "The Living Dream - 100 Years of Rocky" being shown nationally.  He is a regular step-on guide for History Colorado, senior centers, receptive operators and DMOs.  By specializing in tours in the Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park area I offer insight not often seen on "a trip passing through another national park".
